Celebrating

by Jesse on December 12, 2011

It is hard to put into words what this kid means to me! He is wise beyond his years and has the BIGGEST heart!

I love him to the depths of my soul. Last Thursday was his 7th birthday. Since we no longer do family parties (a whole long boring story) I try to make their day special. Rhett woke up to “Elvis” holding a note for him.

It was the start of a birthday scavenger hunt. Each clue led to a present and another clue.

He loved it!

Later in the morning we went to see Arthur Christmas and then took him to Cheesecake Factory (his choice) for his birthday dinner.

I loved celebrating him. He is such an appreciative and fun kid.

I have been so excited for him this year too, because there has been a lot of this going on!

Last year he didn’t place in a single tournament. This year is becoming a whole different story. So far he has 3 first places and a 3rd place! Woo hoo! Talk about exciting!

Oh, what a handsome and adorable little man. My oldest is a wise one with a caring heart as well. It sounds like he enjoyed a wonderful day with the most important people in his life!

Where did you get that bag? My 11 year old LOVES the Cowboys!! I want to get him that for Christmas.

So…what’s the long boring story? Someone was bound to ask, so I let it be me.

Alice, I got the bag from Gordman’s. They have a ton of local team stuff. You should definitely check it out. =)

Maybe some time I will bore you with my family drama. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What fun! Looks like he had a great birthday! We used to do scavenger hunts leading to birthday gifts, too, when our boys were younger. You’re making great memories!

Enjoyed browsing through your blog – you have a lovely family!

Birthday Scavenger Hunt – what an awesome idea! Going to have to tuck this idea away for next year {my son just celebrated his b-day Dec 3rd!}.
