Cravings

by Jesse on January 20, 2014

Not pregnancy type cravings. No more babies at the Peak house unless they are the fur-baby kind.

We’ve been having some unseasonably warm weather and it has me itching for spring. Seems as though each change of the season fills me with the need to nest in some way. It may be organizing closets or rearranging wall decor… something. This pretty piece screams fresh and spring.

Not long ago I talked about how I love large scale art. Well, that isn’t always affordable. My solution has been to have a gallery wall instead. Not to mention you can have so many different photos up. Which suite my photoaholic personality just fine. =) I used to have our gallery wall situated over our sofa.

I needed a change though. Not to mention I wanted to add several new frames and was running out of room. I have had this blank wall for as long as we’ve lived in our home that has stumped me. Not deep enough to put a piece of furniture in front of without constantly tripping over it. So I finally decided to move our gallery wall there. I love that it’s the first thing you see when you walk in the front door. It’s become a great focal point. With 20 frames I’d say it definitely makes a statement. LOL

What do you do with the blank space around the TV area since I took all of those frames down? I wasn’t sure at first. I wanted Art instead of family photos there. When I saw that Lulie Wallace did a Calendar for Anthro I knew it was the perfect thing to fill my empty frames. Her art is so beautiful with a unique twist.

Insta-love!

Then I stole the antler from Rhett’s room. Sorry lil Mr., I’ll get you some new ones.

While they are small changes, they add up to a fresh feeling. Just what I needed. Hmmm, now maybe I’ll work on the dining room.
