Dressing a Lamp

by Jesse on June 9, 2011

If you have been reading any time at all you know I can’t leave well enough alone.  So it won’t come as a shock to you to know that I have been rearranging my living room. I did get in my new table and purchased some new lamps. Only the lamps are missing something when it comes to the shades. Here are a few things I am considering:

Recovering them with some pretty fabric.

Or maybe just some ribbon trim.

Here is the thing, these lamps will be in front of the stencil wall. So I am going back and forth between having a pattern or not and going with the more simple ribbon look. Decisions, Decisions! I am so the type who wants to have it done yesterday. Hopefully it won’t take me too long figure it out.

Do you have an opinion? Pattern or ribbon?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

xx

I love the fabric ones… but you’re right it might be too much in front of the stencil wall. The ribbon would look great for that! Love these!

I went to A Christmas Gathering at the Church at Battle Creek and this lady did a photo-lamp shade. Too cute! She sent me a tutorial and I can email it to you if you would like.

I’m very much a pattern kind of girl. I would pick them over anything else almost any day. However, the ribbon may look better in front of your wall. I’m excited to see what you come up with
