For Realz…

You guys are so sweet and supportive! I appreciate your sweet comments from the last post more than you know!

Thank you, Thank you!!

Well,

It happened…

I got caught up in the need to reward myself after the kids went to bed with unhealthy snacks and put on 10 pounds!! AH!

So changes had to come. We all know that ten pounds turns into more if you don’t jump on it quick. I’ve adjusted my diet a bit… not as much sweet tea, less little sweet treats and pounding the pavement.

I have been getting out at least 3 times a week and getting in some cardio. Since I don’t go any where without my 3 little ducks following behind, they have been going with me. We usually get up early before it gets to hot. It has worked out perfect… our first mile mark there is a splash pad. So we do the first mile, stop and play at the splash pad and turn around and do the second mile. Lucky for me they LOVE it! They love running! So I get in some jogging and walking, perfect!

Better than nothing, right?

I am even working up to adding an extra mile by myself. If the hubs can come with me we will all do the 2 miles and then he takes the kids and I get in another mile.

It has been just a few weeks and I am down about 3 pounds! Yay me!

Hope that’s not too much info for ya?! Just keepin’ it real!

Now let’s see how good I can be while on a weekend getaway this weekend!

Friends I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I will catch up with you soon!

It is amazing how fast weight can creep up on you (especially after having kids and aging a few years ha ha). I know from experience how hard it is to get motivated. Once you figure out what works for you it is amazing how much better you feel and then you regret not always being as active and healthy. You can read about my “journey” to lose a few pounds and get healthy here: http://dibbledabblelife.blogspot.com/2011/05/weight-lossslow-and-steady.html Just remember slow and steady wins the race!!

Great job! I’ve got more than 10 lbs I’ve got to lose but I haven’t been motivated enough to work on fixing it. I love the pic that says “No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch.” Great reason to just do something!

Darn it! It’s so easy to put on the weight and difficult to take off. So many good foods to eat, and by good I mean fattening and tasty. So proud of you for pounding out the pavement again and getting your kids involved. That is awesome! Maybe a family race entry in the future???

oh I totally hear ya. I need to start eatin healthier too… but a (big) part of me sort of refuses {just go see my post for today… all kinds of yummy and NOT diet friendly} but…………. you know something, I have done Yoga for the last 6 or 7 years and it’s a type of excersise that really makes you healthier in everyway. That has really really helped out even though I am not the healthiest eater. I recommend it to everyone, everyday ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy weekend!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love that “lapping everyone on the couch” print! Such a great way to think when you’re a little discouraged!

Losing weight is SO STINKING HARD. I’m running my butt off right now, literally. Congrats on your fitness. Keep it up.
