My New Chair

by Jesse on January 13, 2011

The hold out was SO worth it! You may
remember, if you have been reading a while
that I almost purchased some chairs last February
and decided not to. Then a few weeks ago thought
I had found the perfect chair and something
just wasn’t sittin’ right. So I thought I would
do some internet searching. When I hit Pier 1
I was immediately struck by this chair!

My New Chair

I looked to see if any of our local stores
had one in stock and only one of the
3 local shops had one. So Monday while
running errands with my hubby I had him
let me off to run in and check it out. There
she sat right when I walked in the door.
Lookin’ fine I might add. When I got up close
I could see the true colors in the fabric

My New Chair

All of the different textures and fabrics really
make it such a neat piece. And the nice thing
about Pier 1 was I could take it home and try
it out and if for some reason I didn’t like it
I could take it back. Ha!

Such detail.

My New Chair

I generally have a really easy time
picturing how something is going to look
in my spaces or how thing will go together.
But not this time. I was really loving the chair,
but couldn’t actually picture how it was going to
work with the lines of my sofa.

Perfect contrast! I love the clean lines of my
sofa with the softer lines in the chair! It
really brings the perfect balance to the room

So what do you think?

I have room for two chairs, but the store only
had one in stock. So in the next few weeks I
am going to order one more. I like a bit of
matching, but not too much.

Yay for a new chair! I really
am thrilled!

xx

I really like that chair. I have been thinking of getting one for Noah’s room for awhile now. Have to show him though. He needs a chair with low arms so he can play his guitar. Looks so great in your room! I think you made an excellent choice!

Hi Jesse!! Your husband posted a link to your site on his FB wall, so I followed her. Nice to meet you {kind of}!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the chair and the whole room that you’ve put together. I do NOT have the gift of decorating, I have to hire it out, so I’m very impressed – you have the gift.

I hope to connect with you at some point, Josh says so many fabulous things about YOU!!

Keeping it Personal,
Teri Johnson

Eeeek! Perfect! And I love the beautiful pillow you have on there as well. Congrats on finding the *perfect* chair!

By the way…. do you keep toys in a separate room or do they flow a bit into all your rooms? Just wondering if you have any tips on keeping the toys confined in a stylish way. I am losing that battle at my house!

Jesse, SO amazing, girlfriend! Do you know I was 1 second away from buying this for Wyatt’s room. I LOVE it–and your home looks like a magazine. I hope you submitted it to Eddie Ross.
