We didn’t exactly plan it… but this weekend Miss Blair got her ears pierced!
When I asked if she would like to she jumped up and down and giggled, “Yes mama, I would!”
She giggled the whole way over to the mall! It was our first stop. I had called ahead to make sure that their were two girls available to do the piercing. I think had we done one ear at a time she may only have a single ear pierced!
She sat in the chair so brave, smiling…
They cleaned her earlobes and then put on the little dot for us to see.
She was having a great time!
Finally it was time for the piercing… she was stoic.
As soon as the earrings were in she looked at me and her eyes welled up! I said we were all done, and she hugged me! She did so great! I tried not to cry, but it was really hard. I didn’t want her to cry so I sure couldn’t cry. We showed her, her new earrings and she was so happy with them! She has been a bouncy, smiley chick ever since!
She was so cute, as she walked around the rest of the afternoon saying “I’m cute, mama!”
LOL, I said “I know sweetheart!”

Awww, she is the cutest! I have been thinking about asking Stella if she wants to have her ears pierced, but I don’t know if she is ready. Sarah had hers pierced when she want 5 (same age Stella is now) and I still remember it – I felt exactly how you did, trying not to cry ’cause I didn’t want her to cry
Have I ever mentioned I love her hair?!? She is such the cutie pie. I love how you waited to get her ears pierced when she was old enough to decide. I plan on doing the same for Addie, even though her father wanted them pierced from birth. He’s crazy, crazy man.
