Q&A

by Jesse on November 9, 2010

I got some really fun question in
the Q&A post. Today I thought
I might answer a few.

Stancie and Bromeliad both had photography questions.

What brand/model camera do you use??

I use a Canon Rebel Xsi with a 50mm lens.
I am eyeing a 24-70mm lens.

Q&A

You take great pics of your kids. Any tips?

To be honest I am such an amateur that I
am not the person to be giving advice.
But I can tell you a few things that I
have learned from a class
I took and just practice.

Lighting is everything. You want to have indirect
light or open shade. Really makes a huge difference
in your photos. If you are taking photos indoors,
bring your subject by a window
(one that doesn’t have direct sunlight pouring in),
then get between the window and your subject.

Q&A

I think the another important thing to getting
a great picture is trying different
angles. It makes all the difference
in an average photo and a
really interesting one.

I am blessed to have a
few sweet friends who take
the most gorgeous photos
and provide such beautiful inspiration.

Thanks girls for the questions!

I am thinking about taking
this Q&A and making it a
series. One where you could get
involved. I would post
a question,(like your skin care tips)
and we can all post our
answers and link up
via Linky. At the end
of each question post
I would go ahead and post
the next question and the
day we will be doing
the linky party. What do you
think? Would you be interested
in participating? This way we get to
know each other better and can
share tips with each other. And by
doing the Linky we will
be know who is participating
and visit them.

Let me know what you think?
xx

I’d like to know if you have any tips for taking shots of the interior of the home. My dining room doesn’t get much natural light and my pictures always seem either dark or the colors are distorted.
