The Christmas Train

by Jesse on December 6, 2011

This past Sunday was our trip to The Christmas Train. Each year the church we attend puts together a magical retelling of the real reason we celebrate the season.

We all bundled up,

put on our smiles.

Some of us put on our silly faces and off we went.

It was beautiful! The Old West themed city was all decorated for Christmas.

I loved how all of the volunteers that help with Christmas Train were dressed.

There was hot cocoa, and cinnamon rolls and playtime!

The highlight most definitely was the train ride, on an old fashioned train.

I think what made the ride so unique and moving was the way they used real people in certain areas of the story. The scene in which Jesus rose from the dead, just about moved me to tears.

It was wonderful and I highly recommend it if you live around here. It will certainly be a Christmas tradition for us!

It is an actual train ride through scenes. Some are just large billboard type and others are actors depicting events. It was wonderful! =)

One of my all time FAVORITE Christmas memories was the night we took the girls to the train. At that time, they had a set up to allow for photos to be made (props and everything!) to make it look as though the children were Mary and Joseph. It is still my fav Christmas photo of my girls. I am so thankful you took the Precious Peak kids…what a blessing that you & Josh make sure they know the one true meaning for Christmas while having fun with them.
